Review | Heidi Dischler

Y’all know I’m not super in to non-fiction books, but, of course, I have to include a few a year into my reading challenge! This year, one of my picks is Atomic Habits by James Clear, and I’ll be honest, I really enjoyed this one!

So, this book isn’t very long, but it packs a pretty big punch. One of the reasons I enjoyed it so much is that I saw a lot of my own routines and habits mirrored in what James Clear writes about when it comes to habits that will change your life (and honestly, some of my favorite routines and habits are the only things that keep me sane sometimes). It felt very validating to read it from someone who is considered an expert in the field that I’m doing at least something right in my life 😂.

Some of the other things that I really liked was how James Clear put things into perspective when it comes to the way we form habits, habits that might be best for us based off of who we are as a person, and potential downfalls of habits that people can run into. While some of the things that he talked about I already had in place, a lot more were things that I hadn’t even considered could make a huge impact on my life.

Overall, I did really enjoy this book and I think it will help a ton of people improve their lives. It makes me happy that I have some of these routines in place and I would definitely like to implement more! Habits really can change your life and this book just exemplifies that. 4.5/5 stars rounded up to 5 for all of the social platforms.
