In this cute, short-and-sweet novella, Pip finds her passion for solving mysteries and it just so happens to be because of a murder mystery party. Check out my Kill Joy review below!
Pip is not in the mood for a party. Especially a murder mystery party. But since she hasn’t seen her friends in a while and they’ve finally caught a break with school, Pip relents.
As the mystery goes on and the night gets darker, Pip gets more and more engrossed in the story. Maybe murder mysteries aren’t so bad after all.
Oh, Pippa Fitz-Amobi how I’ve missed you. Reading Kill Joy brought back all the fun memories I have from reading all of the books in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder trilogy. I reviewed A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Good Girl, Bad Blood, and As Good as Dead, so it just feels fitting to review this novella.
With Kill Joy, you don’t get a whole ton of the scary parts like you do in all the other novels, but I was okay with that. The stakes were low, but you still got to see Pip in action, which is what I so desperately needed. Not to mention, it’s short enough to read within an hour or two, which is great when you’re super busy.
Overall, fans of the AGGGTM series will enjoy this novella. Of course, though, if you haven’t already, read this series!!! You won’t regret it.
