Book Review: Stuck with You by Ali Hazelwood
The last book that I have to read in the STEMinist novellas by Ali Hazelwood (but technically the second in the series), Stuck with You has made me realize that I’m not shocked to say that I’m glad to be finished with these books. While mind-numbingly entertaining (I say this in a meh kind of way and not necessarily being a good thing), these novellas are easy to breeze through and easy to forget. Read below to see my review for Stuck with You.
Book Information
Sadie thought she had found the one man she could love. Until he betrayed her and lost all her trust. After one amazing night together, Sadie hasn’t spoken to him since. That is, until she ends up stuck on an elevator with him and no where else to hide. What she finds out about him, though? Might not be as sinister as she once thought.

I’m sure the book description sounds eerily similar to the other STEMinist novels I’ve reviewed. Why? Because Ali Hazelwood has a type. She has an algorithm. She has a very distinct taste that can only be done so many times before getting worn out. The Love Hypothesis was amazing and very refreshing. Every novel since, though, has felt like a repeat of the same old, same old. The man is very large. He’s done something to horribly wound the female protagonist. Said female protagonist hates men in STEM because they’re all just the worst. The nights in bed with the female protagonist’s sworn enemy? Mind-blowing. While I love a good steamy scene, these all fell flat after reading Hazelwood’s first novel.
My suggestion to all Ali Hazelwood’s fans? If you like being told the same story over and over again just with different characters, definitely go for it. Read your heart out. For me, though? There are only so many times I can hear about how large a man is and how absolutely huge his…. Well, you get the point.
Overall, I am over reading Ali Hazelwood novels. I’ll definitely wait for the next one to come out and read the reviews before I decide to spend too much time and effort reading it. While It’s nice to have a short audiobook like Stuck with You to drown out the noise, it’s definitely not something I give my full attention to.
