Movie Review: My Fault: London (2025)

All right guys, I’m all for a forbidden romance, so check out my review for My Fault: London (2025) below!

Movie Blurb

Noah (Asha Banks) is an American teenager who is forced to move to London after her mother marries a British man. Not only is she in a new place, but she also has a new enemy: her stepbrother, Nick (Matthew Boone). Noah and Nick can’t find any reason to get along, but they also can’t stay away from each other. With a forbidden romance and someone from Noah’s past coming back for her, My Fault: London has plenty of thrills and the type of romance that will make you swoon.

Y’all. I am a sucker for romances like these. This reminds me a ton of After (2019) except that Nick and Noah aren’t completely freaking toxic. It’s a romance you want to root for and it’s been so long since I’ve watched a romance that made my heart pound, flutter, and skip a beat all from one thrilling and crazy movie.

So, what exactly made this movie so enjoyable? Well, we’ve got the forbidden romance for one thing. It feels cliche but I’m totally here for it and it’s just the right amount of forbidden to not completely make me reevaluate my movie choices. Because, hey, they’re step siblings and aren’t related at all. And if we can get behind Cher and Josh from Clueless (1995), we can get behind this. Don’t judge me because I loved the forbidden romance, okay 😂.

Some of the other things? The racing and the bad guys. Holy cow did it make for an action-packed romance and I loved every second. I absolutely hate driving fast, so you can bet my jaw was clenched the entire time. Not only that, but the bad guys were genuinely scary (even if they were pretty one-dimensional as far as characters go).

Alright, another thing? THE CHEMISTRY IS OFF THE CHARTS. I already know that the writers didn’t get paid enough for how awesome and tension-building their romantic scenes were. Not only that, but Asha Banks and Matthew Boone were so in sync that I find it hard to believe that they’re not head over heels for each other in real life.

As far as plot goes, you really don’t have a ton. Noah has some secrets from her past that she’s running from. Nick has a pension for fighting that inevitably gets him in trouble. All very surface-level things but I didn’t like the movie for its plot. I liked the movie because the characters (and actors) were absolutely magnetic.

Overall, this was honestly a great watch. If you liked After (2019) or Perfect Addiction (2023), then you’ll love this movie. It has chemistry between its main characters that is off the charts and a forbidden love that you can’t help but, well, love. A full two hours that I thoroughly enjoyed.
