The BEST Romantic Books for Book Club

So, I’m gonna go ahead and start this post with a disclaimer and say that I don’t think these are the most romantic books of all time. I think there are plenty of books that would get on that list. My list is merely just the best romantic books I’ve ever read that I think would be great for book club. It’s a list of the ones that impacted me the most. The ones I still remember. The love that I’ll never forget. All of the mushy stuff 🙂 If you’re into that, definitely check out my list below and see which books I think deserve a spot on the best romantic books for book club list.

Also, just a note, none of these books are in order of which one I liked “most”. That would just be too hard to rank them like that…. Since, of course, I loved them all so much.

A Thousand Boy Kisses

Alright, so this is a love it or hate it kind of book. Yes, the writing is overly trope-y (I’m making it a word), and yes, everything is fairly predictable. But did that make me like it any less? Absolutely not. Did I still cry my eyes out? You bet. I’m talking about being in pain from how much this book made me feel. I personally love epic, rip-your-heart-out, love stories. But if you want something that isn’t going to do that, definitely don’t read this book…. If you aren’t sure, check out my review for it here.

November 9

Of course, Colleen Hoover was meant to end up on this list. November 9 was one of my first super popular book reviews on my blog and for good reason. This book put people in tears. It made them fall in love. November 9 is about two people who fall in love, but decide to only see each other on the same day every year, which is, you guessed it, November 9th.

Redeeming Love

Okay, so this book stole my heart from the moment I started reading it until probably the day I die. I’m not being dramatic (okay, maybe a little), but this book is absolutely beautiful. Francine Rivers’ inspiration for this novel came from a book in the Bible and the way that she put it all together is basically a romance masterpiece. You want the ultimate redemption novel with a romance that will never die? Yeah, go pick this up.

Reminders of Him

If you’ve read, listened to, or watched anything on my blog, TikTok, or Youtube channel, you know that I absolutely LOVE Reminders of Him. I know I said I wouldn’t rank these novels, but, I mean, this is probably my favorite romance novel ever. I love the drama. I love the heartache. I love the redemption and forgiveness. I love the LOVE. Like c’mon. If you need any further convincing to read this novel, go check out my review.

Beach Read

One of my favorite reads from 2020Beach Read is an absolute masterpiece of a romance novel. As an author and writer myself, I loved the dynamic between the two main characters, who were also writers, and how their romance evolves because of it. Honestly if you pick up any of Emily Henry’s romance novels you won’t be disappointed.

Georgie, All Along

Honestly fell in love with the cover for Georgie, All Along before I even knew what the book was about. In a nutshell, though, it’s about Georgie, who just wants to find out who she is as a person. It doesn’t hurt that she finds a little romance along the way. If you’re looking for a cutesy romance with laughter, love, and all of the feels, definitely check this one out.

Instructions for Dancing

So, this one took me by surprise. The concept of the novel was strange in a way that I didn’t think I’d enjoy (but did immensely enjoy). Basically Evie develops a psychic ability where if she sees a couple kissing, she can see how the relationship started and how it ends. Which, when you fall in love with a guy, can ruin things pretty quickly…. Like I said, strange concept but I absolutely adored it. You can check out my review here.

The Things We Leave Unfinished

The most recent book on this list that I just finished, The Things We Leave Unfinished broke my heart and made me fall so madly in love with the characters that I wasn’t quite ready for the book to end. It’s one of those books that you don’t forget about and always come back to when you want to remember how deeply love makes you feel.
